Sara Haj Hassan completed her Master's degree in Social Welfare from the University of California—Berkeley. As a Jordanian-American, she spent her formative years in the Middle East but pursued her higher education in the United States. She has a deep understanding of both cultures and the feeling of not fully belonging to either. Sara has experience working with youth, immigrants and refugees nationally and internationally, as well as survivors of domestic violence.  She is passionate about working with newcomer and Muslim communities to increase their wellbeing.
