Sara Haj Hassan earned her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of California, Berkeley. Her training emphasized trauma-informed care and culturally responsive approaches, foundations that shape her work at Cornerstone today.

Having grown up in the Middle East and now living in the United States, Sara brings a thoughtful cross-cultural lens to her practice. She understands the push and pull of navigating competing cultural norms and values a collectivist approach that honors family and community connections.
Sara is deeply committed to listening to her clients and walking alongside them as they navigate life’s challenges. She focuses on building a collaborative, trusting relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. Together, she and her clients explore issues such as life transitions, relational challenges, and healing from trauma. Sara supports individuals and families in addressing communication concerns, domestic violence, and intergenerational tension.
