Alyssa Kumalmaz graduated from Rutgers University with Bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science and a minor in Biological Sciences. Previously, she completed internships with The Freedom Initiative (a D.C.-based nonprofit that advocates for political prisoners in the Middle East) and the Eagleton Institute of Politics and worked as a writing tutor. In her capacity as an administrator at Cornerstone, Alyssa is responsible for coordinating with the IRC, bookkeeping, assisting with event planning and promotion, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and providing other forms of general administrative support as needed.
