Prior to Cornerstone, Alyssa completed internships with the Eagleton Institute of Politics and The Freedom Initiative, a Washington, D.C.–based nonprofit advocating for political prisoners in the Middle East.

In her role at Cornerstone, Alyssa coordinates with refugee agencies, supports event planning and outreach, leads the organization’s internship program, and provides broad administrative support. She also led both the Refugee Resilience Trainer Team and the Swahili Team as part of Cornerstone’s 2024–2025 nationwide partnership with the International Rescue Committee. Alongside her work at Cornerstone, she is currently pursuing a Master of Public Policy.
