Dr. Mahnazi Amiri graduated from Kabul Medical University in 2009 in Afghanistan, and completed her OB GYN residency at RB Hospital in Kabul Afghanistan. In addition to the completion of her sonography program, she received her counselor degree from Medica Afghanistan. She worked for the gender-based violence project as FPC in charge of several organizations to reduce GBV cases in the community, and provided support programs for abused families (female, and children) in Afghanistan. After coming to the USA in 2019, she began her educational journey to become a mental health counselor in Virginia. Mahnazi is a qualified Mental Health Professional through the Virginia Board of Counseling, and she provides counseling services through the Afghan Association Community, and other organizations in Virginia. Mahnazi joined the mental health projects in 2021-2022 at USCRI organization in Fort Lee, Fort Pakitte, and NCC in Leesburg, and worked with Afghan refugees in different roles within various departments of refugee services. Mahnazi is licensed in QMHP-A and a certified Life Coach. Dr. Mahnazi will be joining Cornerstone as a Dari and Farsi Interventionist
