Dr. Phyo Ko Ko holds an MB, BS from the University of Medicine (1) Yangon and an MBA from the Edinburgh Business School. He dedicated the early part of his career to practicing medicine, supporting various charity clinics, and sharing his knowledge by training nurse aids at the Muslim Free Hospital. This experience solidified his passion for healthcare and ignited a desire to create positive change on a broader scale. Driven by a vision to empower individuals with limited education, Dr. Ko Ko founded the Skill Aid Institute, a vocational training school that aimed to provide opportunities for people to secure meaningful employment and establish careers in the healthcare sector. Under his leadership, the institute successfully facilitated thousands of job placements, both locally and internationally, earning Dr. Ko Ko the prestigious Social Entrepreneurship Award at the Myanmar Entrepreneurship Summit in 2018. In addition to his endeavors in education and healthcare, Dr. Ko Ko is an entrepreneur who has founded several businesses, including Halal Sushi restaurants and others. Despite his diverse business ventures, his overarching passion remains rooted in helping, teaching, and motivating others, and currently offers freelance assistance to Burmese immigrants in their efforts to integrate into American society. He joins Cornerstone as a Burmese Interventionist and Presenter.
