Larysa Kokhana was born in Sumy, Ukraine. In 2010, she graduated University with a bachelor's degree in Psychology, as well as Teacher of Design and Fashion. For 12 years, Larysa worked as a teacher and fashion designer in Ukraine, where she competed in multiple European and Ukrainian design competitions. In 2007, she created her own clothing brand "Lara Kim", which was rapidly developed and presented by Ukrainian Fashion week. On February 24th, 2022, Larysa's long standing achievements were destroyed by the war on Ukraine. Since migrating to the United States last year, Larysa has first-hand experienced the difficulties of unexpected relocation that many Ukrainian refugees have been forced to go through.
