Maram Ghellai completed her B.Sc. in Psychology at Arden University, with a strong interest in trauma and community mental health. Her research interests focus on trauma-informed care, particularly war trauma. She currently lives in her home country of Libya and supports others living through conflict and displacement.She previously served as a Mental Health Coordinator and a Video & Media Coordinator for the first telemedicine company in Libya, where she helped expand digital outreach and coordinated care for individuals with limited access to in-person services. Her work reflects a commitment to making mental health care more accessible and raising awareness around psychological well-being in underserved communities.
Maram first joined Cornerstone as an intern in the summer of 2023, later stepping into her current role as an Arabic-speaking Interventionist. In this capacity, she leads workshops and intervention sessions for Arabic-speaking forced migrants, helping them navigate cultural, linguistic, and emotional challenges as they adjust to life in the United States. Through her studies and service, she continues to build her expertise while remaining deeply committed to promoting resilience and healing in vulnerable communities.
