Oscar Vidal formerly served as a Residential Counselor at the Center for Family Services where, in collaboration with the Office of Refugee Resettlement, he focused on the care of unaccompanied refugees aged 13-17. Within this role, he ensured the program's alignment with its stated objectives, emphasizing a trauma-informed approach, and actively contributed to the treatment team alongside therapists and staff. He also conducted life skills, education, and goal-setting groups with teachers and staff to achieve educational and vocational targets. Coordinating medical consultations, managing the administration of supplies and medication, organizing appointments, and maintaining a rigorous schedule of daily reporting to the ORR were also among his responsibilities. He provided direct supervision to the youth in the program, both on-site and during outings, offering one-to-one support, monitoring phone calls, and ensuring the fulfillment of daily living needs through effective delegation to residential counseling staff. Oscar joins Cornerstone as a Spanish Interventionist and Presenter.
